Corporate - CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

Serving those who serve others.  The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)   Department works with all VOALA programs to ensure their hard copy records and electronic databases meet legal and funder requirements, and reviews selected program procedures for compliance with funder requirements and goals.  The CQI Department strives to ensure that all VOALA programs are “audit-ready”.

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

The Database Coordinator oversees and validates the data entered into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) by multiple programs’ staffs and dedicated HMIS Specialists.  Conducts regular audits to ensure data accuracy, and corrects errors, ensures required monthly and periodic reporting to funder, and generates reports from HMIS data showing program performance.  Trains all users of HMIS, assists in program funder audits, internal audits and monitoring visits.
