JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Program Transitions Manager, the Program Coordinator I provides support to the startup/closeout projects. As directed by the Program Transitions Manager and Program Coordinator II, the Program Coordinator I will be assigned specific aspects/tasks of the process (e.g., job requisitions, IT orders, etc.). Additionally, as directed, will support some of the closeout tasks for closing programs (such as closing out of utilities and vendor contracts).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate, assist, and support the Program Transitions Manager and designated team members on new program start up needs:
    • Assist in developing a start-up plan for each program opening
    • Support coordination and track progress of efforts among various departments involved in program implementation, including: Program, HR, IT, Facilities, and Accounting
    • Attend site-visits, as needed
    • Provide ongoing review of implementation processes to help ensure efficient and effective start-up of new programs
    • Other duties, as assigned
  • Act as liaison between internal and external stakeholders:
    • Work with Program Manager to maintain open lines of communication between program staff, internal departments, and funders
    • Ensure communications, keeping the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, as well as updates and requests from funders
    • Attending meetings, internal and external
  • Data Management
    • Maintain and track award documentation, including RFPs, proposals, contracts, supporting documents and required forms
    • Monitor start-up requirements and ensure deadlines are met
    • Provide reports and complete special projects, as assigned
  • Assist on going review of start-up systems to ensure efficient start-up.
  • As directed, assist in program close-out events.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Business, or related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a social services organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference given to candidates with understanding of nonprofit operations
